The Alnico V magnet offers up a huge, deep bottom end with rich, throaty mid range and warm highs. The ceramic magnet adds more output, tightens the low end response,smoothes the mid range a little bit and adding cut in the high end.
Is Worth to remember that the comonly know bad reputation of cermic magnet came from bad experiences of guitar players with low-end, cheap guitar pickups. In reality Ferrite magnets (ceramic) are realy good material with great amount of character and interesting EQ.
The truth is, that the magnet is a one component of guitar pickup, and we cannot qualify the sound of the pickup only looking at the magnet used to it build.
