Prometheus (AlNiCo V Rods) is a modern humbucker that provides the sound typical of single coil pickups with the maximum possible noise reduction. In comparsion to Ferrite Rods version – it is wound a little bit lower to achieve more organic and less sterille and compressed single coil tone.
Low end and highs are little bit smoother, but still cut as the real singe coil should. It’s powered by 6 AlNiCo V rod magnets known from the Fender construcions.
Because of the construction don’t be afraid of the high dcr reading – it won’t drive the amp so hard as you think. If you love your Les Paul and want to blend it with some strat – this is your way to go.
