Strat American Dream 59’

Vermilion Strat American Dream 59’ Pickup set is inspired by strat pickup sound from the late 50’. The AlNiCo V  rod magnets and special winding pattern deliver some boost in low and high frequencies with more agression and even more percussive attack.

This pickup can be built in two versions:

FLAT – where the magnets are the same height. This is an option that works well in fingerboard radii higher or equal to 9.5″

STAGGERED – where the magnets have different heights. (“historically correct” version, designed by Leo Fender) This is an option that works well in fingerboard radii lower or equal to 9.5″ Remember that in music “rules” are meant to be broken – there are guitarists who use the Staggered version playing on guitars with ultra-flat fingerboards with a radius exceeding 20″ :).

The bridge coil is wound a little hotter to give better balance across the set. Middle pickup is wound RWRP (Reverse-wound, Reverse-polarity –  magnetic pole reversed and wire wound in the opposite direction compared to the other single-coil pickups in the same guitar which alows to receive hum canceling effect in 2,4 positions).
